The Mambe Extreme Weather outdoor blanket is an outstanding blanket made in two layers: a soft Polartec Classic 300 fleece top layer (available in 9 colors) and a lower waterproof lining to create an impermeable barrier when needed.
We use these blankets all the time, and they are great for the outdoors. But that’s not all they do. They also are fantastic to have on hand for those with small kids who are potty training, those with animals who are getting trained, or for any other reason when you might need a waterproof barrier that’s within arm’s reach.
The only thing it doesn’t do well is roll into a neat carrying case, as some of the other blankets on our list do, though it does include a stuff sack.
