The SeaTeak line of teak deck chairs are an excellent budget deck chair for those looking for Teak quality and design, but want to keep the budget down.
These chairs do not feature Sunbrella fabric, but rather use Textilene polyester fabric. This fabric is weather resistant and strong, but not as high quality as the Sunbrella. The SeaTeak chair has very similar design and shape to the Goldenteak line, and is available in two fabric color options.
Given the price point these hit, they are an excellent budget Teak deck chair!

The teak is sustainably harvested in Indonesia and is manufactured to extremely high standards.
The fabric is Sunbrella brand acrylic and looks lovely with the golden teak tone of the wood. This wood has not been finished and will gray over time to a soft silvery finish if left untreated.

The SeaTeak Director’s chair is constructed of responsibly-harvested Teak free of knots, pin-holes, stains, and sapwood. The teak was machine cut for accuracy and features no unnecessary lines or flourishes. The shape of this chair is quite similar to the Goldenteak pair of teak chairs above, which is good!
The canvas on the SeaTeak chair is made of Textilene fabric, which is a polyester mesh fabric (not acrylic like Sunbrella) and is a step down from Sunbrella’s quality. Still, it is an excellent outdoor fabric with easy care and maintenance, excellent water-resistance, and great UV protection. The fasteners are made of stainless steel, and will not rust in a wet environment.
The SeaTeak chair is covered under a one year warranty, which is a nice extra.
Assembly and Maintenance
There is no significant assembly involved in the SeaTeak chair. Simply slip on the canvas pieces and unfold the chair, and you’re all set.
For the Textilene fabric, remove basic dirt and stains with a mild soap and a scrub brush. For more persistent stains, use a little bit of diluted chlorine bleach/soap to remove the stains (4oz bleach, 2oz soap, and one-gallon water). Clean with this solution, and air dry to remove stains.

Teak Care
Teak is one of the most beautiful wood species for furniture available. It is commonly associated with Danish modern furniture design and is found all over the place, both in indoor furniture and outdoor furniture.
Teak is an outstanding outdoor furniture wood, due to its durability and natural resistance to water and UV light. It secretes its own oils, and will gracefully weather from the classic golden teak color to a soft silver gray if left untreated.

If you plan to leave your teak furniture inside, you will probably want to occasionally treat it with Linseed Oil or perhaps a Tung oil from time to time, as it will not face the same environmental challenges outdoor teak furniture deals with.

Outdoor teak furniture will weather over time to a pretty silver-gray color that is liked by many users, but not all. If you do not want the silver color and want to keep the beautiful honey golden color of fresh teak, you’ll want to seal your teak against moisture. Teak oils won’t do the trick, you need a teak sealer.
